Prenatal Physical Therapy
Your pregnancy is unique. Your care should be, too.
When you work with us during pregnancy, you don’t just get support for the usual aches and pains. You get care that meets your unique needs, values, and goals. Our mission is to help you continue doing what you love throughout your pregnancy without leaks, pain, or other issues, and prepare you for the birth you have envisioned (as well as the unexpected turns it may take along the way!).
In our birth preparation program, you will get expert guidance on how to prepare your body and mind for birth through structured, personalized support, including:
a birth prep mobility program
pushing coaching and practice in a variety of labor and delivery positions with real-time feedback
instruction in hands-on pain relief strategies your support person can provide during labor
manual techniques to prepare your pelvic floor for birth
mindfulness strategies to enhance your mental preparation
education to help you understand your choices, communicate your birth preferences, and prepare for the unexpected
Plus, when you work with us starting in pregnancy, your postpartum care starts as early as 2 weeks after baby arrives. By being proactive, we are able to ensure you are recovering well physically and feeling supported mentally and emotionally. We screen early for feeding concerns, musculoskeletal problems, and signs of postpartum depression. Then we get you the right help, when you actually need it, instead of waiting for an arbitrary 6-week checkup to roll around.
You deserve comprehensive, proactive prenatal and postpartum care. At Rhea PT, that’s what you get.
Common Prenatal Issues We Can Help You With
“I worked with Dr. Savannah during pregnancy in preparation for birth and have continued in postpartum and I’m so so thankful for her and her practice…She is incredibly kind, warm, and seemingly unflappable.”
